The IIIF Curation Platform (ICP) was initially developed for IIIF Image API 2 and IIIF Presentation API 2 (v2), released in September 2014. However, after the release of IIIF Image API 3 and IIIF Presentation API 3 (v3) in June 2020, IIIF sites were gradually migrating to the new version.
Due to incompatibility between the old and new specifications, the ICP software, which supported only v2, no longer worked with v3-based IIIF sites. Because we have received many requests to update the ICP to work with v3, we have started to support v3 on the ICP. As a result, we released a new version to support v3 on August 27, 2024.
